You don’t have to fly to Cabo san Lucas or Puerto Vallarta to get the feel of Mexico these days. Many of the local restaurants are owned by our brethren with roots in Mexico, and they bring all the excitement of “fiesta time” to Medford.
Topping the list this year was Habaneros Mexican Restaurant located at 142 N. Front St. Owner Tim Tolman first opened Mexicali Rose in Medford in 1984 before moving that restaurant to Habaneros’s present location, making Tim’s establishment the oldest Mexican restaurant in southern Oregon.
